I am trying to add the Z-Stick controller as a secondary controller to my Simon XT z-wave network. I can easily set the Simon XT to add a device, but I can not find a "join existing network" feature in the InControl software?

The Z-Stick instructions say adding the Z-stick as a secondary controller is only possible using the host software. Please help me understand the process using the InControl software

Thanks

Hi Dave -

Thanks for dropping by on the forums and welcome!

Download these tools. Use the Categories/Settings menu to connect to your USB stick. Once you do, there is a "Controller" tab that has a "Learn Mode" on it (it's a lightning bolt icon). Use that to get your controller into the mode where it can be added as a secondary controller. Once you are in learn mode, you should be able to "Send network updates" from your master controller -- adding a new node from your master controller may accomplish the same thing.

NOTE: It's usually important that your USB stick and master controller be within a few inches of each other when doing this.

I am having the same issue as I already have a Simon XTi panel through Guardian, whom also partner up with alarm.com. I try to download the program you mention, but no where did I see the learn mode you are referring to. In additional, I try to add the USB stick as a new device directly from the Simon panel without any success. Is there any other idea?
