I have an Aeon Labs Z-Stick S-2. At random intervals it hangs up and the only way to fix it is to unplug then plug it back into the computer. Apparently this is a well-documented issue with these stick. Does anyone have a solution, or have a recommendation for a better controller stick?

Someone from Aeon Labs suggested that providing more power to the z-stick helps. To do this, find a powered USB hub and plug your z-stick into it. This not only provides it more power, but can extend the range because the hub will often let you find better placement for the z-stick.

Thanks.

I also had this issue. Apparently the Aeon Labs Z-Stick will lock-up with too many concurrent messages.

The solution was to disable polling and associate devices with the controller. I also had to enable notifications from my Aeon Labs Switches by setting parameter 80 to 2.
