Binary Sensor Log Viewer

With a binary sensor device (e.g. Door sensor), I find that I want to know more about the trigger history than the present position. Being able to record and view an "access log" in the desktop and phone apps would be nice.

This idea can be extended to other devices such as thermostats (record and chart home temperature data, furnace duty cycles, etc) and devices like the Aeon Home Power Monitor which measures home-wide power and energy consumption, and weather stations.

That's a great idea for the logging. We actually have a card for it too. Go toss your support at the feature by voting for it. While you are there, you can subscribe and get notifications of progress updates.

I see the card was marked as complete but I still can't find how to log this info
