Hi all,

This is a very unique topic on the web, every one wants to automate, but what are your goals with it?
Please leave your one line rule below. For starters I share some of my goals:

- predicting when you gonna arrive from works, and preheating the home 20minutes sooner

- starting a sunrise simulation 10minutes before your alarm clock goes off

- start irrigation when soil is dry and no rain is coming

- in Summer when the outside temp is higher than the inside close the windows (or notify to close them)

- Turn off any lamp 2h-s after turning them on (arguable, but I would use it)

- RFID in shoes, and reader in door mats, so you can be tracked which room are u in (and music can follow u), or other high AI stuff based on ur profile

- alarm goes off get email/notification

- email about missed phone call (w/ called ID)on landline

This is just tip of the iceberg.

Please share,

Here are the Scenes I have set up:

Bathroom door sensors turn on lights. If house is in sleep mode, lights only come on 50% brightness.

Pantry and laundry doors trigger lights, once door closes, lights turn off after 30 seconds.

Hallway motion sensor triggers light up to 95% brightness (if lights <99%) then="" lights="" turn="" off="" once="" sensor="" detects="" no="" motion(if="" lights="">< 95%.)="" -="" this="" allows="" me="" to="" turn="" the="" lights="" to="" 99%="" and="" have="" them="" stay="">

Kitchen motion sensor turns on kitchen light for 5 minutes, time is extended each time motion is detected.

Outside lights turn on at dusk and off at sunrise.

Bathroom exhaust fans run for an hour when manually activated.

Here are the scenes I hope to add in the future:

Automatically trigger bathroom exhaust fans based on humidity.

Do something with door locks.

Do something with garage door

Do something with dimmable counter lights. -If anyone has product numbers for doing this please share. I have yet to find LED counter lights that can be dimmed using z-wave.

    - Set HVAC Heat/Cooling points when Motion detected, set them higher/lower after 45 min inactivity.
    - Inside/outside motion activated lights, turn off after 10 min inactivity.
    - Turn-on Pet Bed heater if < 32="" deg,="" turn="" off="" if=""> 32 deg
    - Turn on basement space heater if motion detected and temp < 62.="" turn="" off="" after="" 45="" min="" inactivity.="" 62.="" turn="" off="" after="" 45="" min="">
