Devices not reporting battery status

I reloaded my Windows PC and installed the latest IC software (3.157). I have a few motion sensors that reported battery status, but no longer do. I checked to make sure the associations were set properly. Any ideas?

Try out the version 4 pre-release (5483) and let me know if battery reports show up. You'll need to double-click the battery powered device and enable two options:

- Poll device
- Queue until wakeup

Downloaded and installed. Nothing immediate (I have had it running for an hour or so). I will let you know if anything changes (if the battery indicator shows up).

Still no battery status, any ideas?

A lot of this depends on the device sending the appropriate "wake up" command to the USB stick. You might check pepper1.net/zwavedb/ for your device to see if it mentions how to set this up for your device. Also, have you verified that the device is associated to the USB stick?

These were all appropriately reporting battery status before I reloaded windows and installed 3.157. I uninstalled the 4 version you had in the linked and installed 3.126. Still no reporting of the battery status. Now I have another problem - the response time is really slow (like 4-5 seconds before a light reacts). It was instant in the past. I am going to try to remove and re-add my devices to see what happens.

Yes, I verified that they were associated with the Z-Stick.

OK, almost good. I removed a device and in the process, looked at another battery powered device. They are starting to report battery status without me doing anything. Maybe there is an issue with the 3.157 and the 4.0 version?

It's hard to say why it showed up - sometimes devices are on their own time-scale as to when they send battery reports.... what kind of device is it?

The battery devices are Schlage RS200HC motion detectors and Ecolink Wireless Garage Door Tilt Sensors.

New problem, it is not allowing me to add back in the one motion detector that I removed to re-add to see if that helps. It just says "unable to add device".

Reset the Z-Stick, not it is not letting me add any devices back in. The Z-Stick goes into inclusion mode and indicates the device was added, but it does not appear in In-Control.

Zensys Tool is seeing the devices I am adding (and can perform the basic on-off control), but In-Control is not recognizing any of the devices that have been added.

My Ecolink tilt sensors send battery reports in version 4. The last one I got was about 8 hours ago, so I don't think they send the info very frequently -- and it could be only when they actually tilt too.

When you reset your USB stick, did you first exclude your devices? If you didn't and your devices think they are still in a network, you won't be able to re-include them again. You'll need to use your USB stick to exclude them (so they get reset back to factory), and then you can include them again.

Back in business. I reloaded version 4.0 and removed / re-added all devices. Both the tilt and motion detectors are now reporting battery status.

I have installed version 4 (4.0.54.89) and my everspring HSP02 motion sensor stopped reporting battery status.
The new version has been installed for more than 24hours.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Double click on your sensor and check the box that says "Queue commands until wakeup"

I had already checked that box.

Try removing (disassociating) the device all together, then re-adding it to the z-wave network.
