Ryan, just bought pro and excited to get into the world of HA.

Can you add the option to allow us to set up our own IP port/ server so we can directly connect with the mobile app for those of us with a static IP / DNS service (without going through your cloud service)? I know I would feel better not having to rely on your server.

Also, since you have the cloud server, it would be nice to have a watchdog feature to let users know if internet connection /power was lost to at the home server. What do you think?

Finally, what is in the pipeline for IP cams? When do you expect to roll it out? Another Foscam owner here.

Thanks.

InControl currently has a built-in server using port 1178, though it doesn't have the "instant update" that cloud app has and still requires the app to poll for status updates. I'm working on a lightswitch plugin that'll provide the instant update, but it's a couple weeks out still.

The watchdog idea is a good one. I believe this Trello card covers this case.

I'm working on Foscam support now. I hope to have it soon, depending on the route I end up taking, it could take longer or shorter. I was thinking initially I'd require the user to open a route to the camera and then I'd use the video stream directly from the IP cam instead of trying to capture it inside InControl and then relaying it out over the same port InContorl uses. Have you got any preferences? Also, while I'm at it, what type of features would you like to personally see from your Foscam?

Ok.

The former routes makes more sense to me. In terms of control, being able to move to preset orientations and Patrol, enable/disable various modes like motion sense, email notification. Image recording. Scripts to record video and audio in VLC. I have .bat scripts doing this stuff now. Is there a tutorial on how I can run .bat files within your scripts?
