I need a "how to" to use a trigger on this sensor to turn on/off a zwave standard plug via a temperature value from the sensor.
I see that Ryan really added lots of new features to incontrol :-) can't wait to try some of them.
You been hard at work. Good for you, and it shows.

Any advice, would be much appreciated

Hi Steve -

Be sure to get version 3.X from the announcements section of the forum as this will primarily be based on new features found in that release, though the 2.X version can do it, it'll be harder to setup.

First, make sure you are using the beta zwave controller.

Next, associate your sensor with the USB stick.

Once things are associated, you should start to get reports from your sensor, though it might take 5-30 minutes, depending on how often the device is programmed to send reports. Note that most device reports can be adjusted by using the Params button to configure them. Look up what configuration parameters your device supports at this handy website.

After your first report comes in, you'll end up with something that looks like this. Click the blue icon next to the temp report to turn it into a device. This is the device you'll use to trigger your scene.

Time to setup your scene where all the magic happens:
- Create a scene which contains the "plug" device in the turned on state.
- Select the trigger tab and create a trigger that repeats every minute
- Click the conditions tab and create a "Device at State" condition.
- Select the "temperature" device you created in the prior step.
- Assuming you want your plug to turn on anytime the temp is higher than 50, your condition would read: "Temperature device level is >= 50"

You've now got a scene that will trigger every minute ONLY IF your temp is 50 or higher.

Hope this helps! Do let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Ryan,

Works just like you say, testing a few more things before physical installation.

Is there a problem with the "Cloud Server" ?. Can't find devices on any clients Andriod cell and galaxy tablet both android. Was workning about 3 days ago, then sparsely started to not showing devices on clents, till no no devices at all.
No errors when connecting to cloud, via server or clients.
Latest Ver. of clients and server, I think?

also, i see you say ThinkStick isn't compatible with beta drivers made for Com ports? so disable this?

thx again Ryan

We had some issues with our host (rackspace) on Monday, but they've since been resolved and the cloud server has been working smoothly since then. Do you have a green light in your Android app or does it remain red? Are you on the 3.x version or 2.225 for your server?

Yes, ThinkStick doesn't work with beta controllers nor will it work with the Everspring's more advanced features, so best bet is to use an Aeon Labs ZStick connected to a com port.
