Can we get this guy working on Axial? I'm sure it will show up as a dimmer no problem but will the motion sensor send info back to Axial?

@tnamey Any changes with your situation on this device?

Alright so I finaly have one installed. It shows up pretty weird on the server.  I feel silly saying I can't figure out how to post to this post. If I already have the image what do I put in for destination?

O and it won't let Axial shut it off. It immediatly turns back on when incontrol send the off command. Thoughts?

I'm not seeing where it asks for "destination" on the image. It should just want you to pick it on your computer and go from there. If you want, send me an email via the support ticket system with the image attached -- and while you are at it, you could send your logfile as well.

Yeah that sounds painful! Luckily I haven't had this issue.  Probably have around the same number and running fine for almost 4 years now.  I beleive GE bought Jasco.  Back when I was starting the leviton were almost twice as expensive as the GE. I see they've come down since. Their fan controler was $130 4 years ago and it's now $26.  I would consider using them now.

Oooof Jasco... So here's my story on those. In my introduction to zwave I went Jasco (als GE branded but Jasco made). Had around 20 light switches. I'd say they were between 2 and 4 yrs old. Then all of a sudden the switches themselves would stop responding even to pressing the button to turn the lights on/off and I'd have to pull the little disconnect so the switch would lose power (like flipping the breaker). Oddly the problem started to spread. First it was 1 or 2 switches here and there, then more and more, and even more often. I then started keeping a paper log as the lock ups started increasing. At one point I was having to power cycle switches every other day. There was no pattern but it was specific switches, not all of them. I started replacing them one by one with leviton switches and currently only have 5 left of the Jascos on my network.

I have not tried the newer models though but I'm staying away from Jasco from now on.

Models I had are:

  • GE 45614
  • GE 45609
  • GE 12722

They seem to be branded GE but the underlying model is Jasco, unless Jasco is licensing from GE (wouldn't think so).

I haven't bought one yet.  The ST forums are saying the units don't provide sensor data by default.  Something I could send to you for testing? Most of my switches are GE(becuase I'm cheap) and I don't have issues with them.  Have you tried any of the switches since they remodeled them last year?

I was excited to see you post that, then I noticed it was Jasco. :( I havne't been impressed with any of the Jasco devices I've owned, Maybe they'll do better with this one. Have you got one already?

My guess is that it'll work out of the box with motion detection unless they've done something really off-the-wall-crazy.
