I would like to setup a fairly simple home security system. Can your software activate an alarm and send an email if a sensor is tripped? Can the security system be armed and disarmed from the Android and iPhone apps? Thanks

Yes, you can use InControl to do all that. I've got a FortrezZ siren and I'm able able to turn it on/off based on the state of my system. I use a Scene to "Arm" and another to "Disarm." The scene activates a virtual device that is used to trigger when the motion sensors should trip the siren.

You can find out your SMS "email address" and set InControl up to email you the message. The email will be converted to a text message that will ping your phone. You'll use a script in the scene pre/post area to send the email when the scene is triggered by the motion sensors.
