Hi Ryan:

Picking up the discussion from the Z-Wave forum regards "scene" activation.

Yeah I began to realize last week that the core of the problem was semantics - the word scene defining multiple things. Z-Wave closed nature also makes it difficult to really determine what Z-Wave considers a scene and how it implements it.

My definition of scene probably refers to your use of "virtual" and encompasses controlling my entire set of Z-Wave devices. For example, a sunset scene which ensures that a set of lights are turned on, a set of lights are turned on at a certain level, and all other lights are turned off.

And as you suspected, I want to be able to invoke a scene by pressing a physical button. After all, that's why I bought "scene" controllers :-)

Regards controllers, I am currently using a Aeon Z-Stick. I also have a Leviton RZCPG handheld.
