 So as some of you may know Amazon finally rolled out the antisipated "routines" in the smart home side of alexa.  I'm all about the idea of just telling my alexa good night and it would activate my night scene and turn off my entertainment center and the like...  but for whatever reason i just realized my "Night" scene is the only one thats NOT showing up in my devices in Alexa.  Anyone else have an issue with certain scenes not showing up?

If I recall, Alexa limits the max number of scenes that can be displayed. You may try to go into some of your other scenes and check the option that hides it from mobile devices, then ask Alexa to rediscover.

One thing to note though is that Alexa may not realize the you've hidden a scene and you may need to manually "forget" a scene from your Alexa app before a new one will be discovered.

you are correct.  Hid a few on moble and it popped right up.  Thanks!

Just got alexa for christmas, so i will be posting all kinds of questions.. lol  sorry...

Do either of you know what that scene limit is?  As in how many can be discovered?

12 scenes is the max supported by the Echo.

I know this is an old post but I'm running into a similar issue with my scenes in Axial not showing up in alexa.  I have gone through and only activated 2 scenes and cleaned out all scenes from the alexa app but when I run the discovery process nothing from axial shows up.   all my devices show up just no scenes.  has something changes with alexa that is blocking scenes?

My axial scenes actually show up in the devices tab, and the only "scenes" that show up under the alexa scenes tab is from my Harmony.  I dont know what the limit of devices is now, but I think they raised it a bit.

Actually, looking at mine, I see that my scenes are gone as well from the Alexa app. I'm guessing Amazon changed something - I'll go back to their documentation and make adjustments to get it working again.

Thanks,   glad I'm not the only one missing them.

I was wondering if there is any update on the issue with Scenes not showing up in Alexa?  I tried again today and still can't get any of my Axial scenes to appear in the alexa app.  any new device I add to Axial InControl seems to work just fine.

@Gryphonworks

It's note quite ready, but I've activated it so you can have something to work with. You'll note that after you discover devices that Alexa reports that she found new scenes. When you say "Alexa, turn on <scene>" she'll say something about it not working, even though the scene will turn on.  The report that comes back from Alexa is the part we are working on still -

I just got around to testing this again and the scenes are now showing up but I take it you are still working on the error message that is it not responding even though it is.   thanks for getting me this far though.
