I dont know why, but suddenly The 255w extra vanished from the total energy...

Another question;

Is it possible with incontrol to trend or in Another way see The summary and history of used energy? Say if i want to see how much energy my heatpump has used The last week/month or year?

Hi!

When setting up my new Z-wave system i have noticed a problem...

I have an Aeon smart energy switch connected to my heat pump in my vacation home to measure the energy used by it. I have succesfully goten the "live" wattage value into incontrol, but the summary of energy usage in the android app is wrong. This is because the summary takes the live-value and adds another 255W as soon as i press "on" on the smart energy switch...

The switch has "level 255", it seems this value somehow shows up in the app as a watt usage and becomes added to the "live" value.

Why does this happen and how do i remove it? I dont want to add 255W extra for every switch i add to the network...

Maby this is a function to manually add a watt usage to switches that does not have energy metering where you still want a wattage reported in the app? For instance if you have 2X50W lamps connected to a switch you can manually get it to report 100W of usage? If so, it must be possible to turn it of?

InControl takes anything labeled as a device "Energy Monitor" and adds them up to get the total watt usage. Do you have more than one device that fits that criteria?

Ryan,

You ever consider adding the energy value to GUI to show the current value of "energy monitor"?

I have an AEON Labs energy monitor that always reports 0 as a "energy monitor" and as a "leveler" shows the actual value. But as a leveler, doesn't show the energy usage within ICHA.

I have only ont thing in my network at the moment. Inte smart energy switch.

I have extracted The energy value from the switch into its own virtual value. So the switch is shown as two things, a standard switch and an energy meter.

When the switch is turned on it directly reports 255 w usage to the total energy meter and after 30 seconds The extracted energy meter starts reporting the actual usage wich is added to the total energy metering.

So if The connected heat pump uses 400 w The total reported usage is 650 w. The 255 w is static and has nothing to du with The real energy usage...

Typical example of how it looks:

Yes there is, have to create an energy object, and enable level logging. Once you do that, just right mouse on the energy object and select View Level Report. Click raw data radio button and it will show real numbers.
