I would stick with the GEN5 also; the series 2 has a number of issues that you'll likely run into if you keep using it.

Like was suggested, your best bet is to exclude all devices then in-include them and re-build your scenes. You might even want to do a complete reset just to be sure - here's how: http://incontrolha.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/240418-resetting-incontrol-data

Did you do a transfer or setup from scratch? The recommendation was to start over from scratch by taking the old USB controller and pressing the button twice fast until the ring flashes fast, then press the inclusion button on your zwave devices to remove them from that USB controller. Then use the new GEN5 and go around and include all your zwave devices. You might have some conflict going on between the two sticks.

When I got my GEN5 USB stick, that is what I ended up doing, then had to recreate my scenes.

Okay thanks, I will stick with the GEN 5 stick. I did start from scratch but I will start again. When you say exclude all the devices do I go around with the GEN 5 and exclude everything or do I use the old S2. My original S2 won't even function enough for me to put it into eclusion mode.

Yes, you can use the GEN5 to exclude. Any controller can be used for this, even if it wasn't the original. For what it's worth, if you don't exclude, you can't re-include. The exclude resets it back to factory.

I did something similar to this a while back (had a Z stick conk out on me). I was able to exclude and reinclude everything and it's working wonderfully again. My only issue is the cloud account still seems to be hanging on to the old devices that were excluded. Is there a way to have the cloud re-inventory all the devices and drop the ones that don't match or drop everything and reinventory?

Thanks,
Steve

Okay so I was able to get my GEN 5 stick working by excluding everything and starting from scratch but now I am having a similar problem to what I started with when I had my old setup. Almost all of my devices are coming up with errors that say this.

Command Expired:

Command: COMMANDCLASSSWITCHBINARYGET

some devices have even come up saying poling has been disabled. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Do they respond when you manually toggle power on/off from InControl?
