Time before/after sunrise/sunset

I'm really loving InControl HA and I'm in the process of switching my entire house over from Vera.

A natural part of this process is seeing the things that ICHA does better than Vera and...maybe not as good.

One tiny thing that's missing that I'd love to see in ICHA is this: when setting a time trigger or condition, and choosing sunrise or sunset (or both), I would love to be able to adjust this slightly and have the option to say "30 minutes before sunset" or "15 minutes after sunrise."

This would be useful if I want a room to have some light as the sun goes down. It usually gets too dark by the time sunset hits, for example.

What about using a time trigger with an offset of -30 with "sunset" as the time?

Ah, good. My apologies, I was going from a different angle. I'm glad that's there and I missed it. My apologies.

However, it would be nice to add that to the conditions too. For example, I have a motion sensor in my office that's set to turn on the lights in the office when it's dark out. I'd like to be able to make that start a little earlier than sunset, but I'm not sure how. Right now I have the trigger set to activate the scene, and I have the condition of "between sunset and sunrise." But that still leaves a good 30 minutes where I walk into the office and it's pretty dark in there.

How about creating a virtual switch that turns on between -30 sunset and sunrise/between the times you want.
In the motion scene have the virtual switch as the condition.

That's fine, but in general I don't like cluttering up the devices list. I'm going to have over 40 in there to begin with, and even though I can hide it on the mobile devices, I'd like to keep that list under control. I guess it's not the end of the world, though.

Thanks for the idea.
