none of my devices will allow me to check the "Poll device How Often (Seconds):" I check the box, go back in and it is unchecked again. Any ideas?

Odd... what kind of devices? Is anything else misbehaving?
Attach your logfile to a gist and I'll have a look, maybe there are clues in there.
