Does the computer have to be on 24/7 in order to automate the controlling of my house using InControl? Does anyone recommend a stand alone controller like the Vera Lite or something cheaper to automate everything.
I do plan on using a Leviton VRC0P-1LW to interface with iRule but I still need something to do the daily on/off functions.

It does need to be on all the time. We are in the process of making our own stand-alone computer that will hopefully run off of the small trickle of power supplied through a USB port (so it'll be super efficient). We are a little ways from it, but it's something we are working on.
