Monoprice Window Sensor

Just wondering if anyone has had any success with these window sensors from monoprice. They are such a good deal I figured I would give them a try. I was able to add them to Axial Control and auto configure the device. I also see some open and close data in the preview pane (see screenshot) when I have the devoce selected. The only issue I am having is the tripped open box does not seem to ever change and the makes the device very dificult to use for my alarm setup. If any one has experience with these and knows what I am doing wrong that would be great.

Can you try to figure out what the wake up sequence is, then when it's awake, click the asociation button and verify that the sensor has your USB stick checked as an associated device?

Also, according to your manual, there's an "advanced configuration" section. You may try to set parameter 14 to a value of 1 and see if that helps.

Okay I tried setting the parameter 14 to a value of 1 and I did not see any change. I also found that the sensor is only associated to my z-stick controller.

That parameter 14 option should have done the trick. From here, I'd recommend you turn on the audit for the node (double click it, then restart) so that you can gather some logs. Trigger it a few times, then wait 5 or so minutes and attach the logfile.txt to your reply. Be sure to mention what node id your sensor is and point out the time you tried to trigger it.

I looked at your manual again. It looks like it only sends the BASIC_SET to nodes in group 2 associations. My guess is that your USB stick is associcated via group 1. You'll want to go to associations, load group 2, then make sure your USB stick is associated.

Thanks for your help. By loading the group 2 associations on the sensor and and selecting my z-stick controller to associate it with the device, along with setting the parameter 14 to a value of 1 worked great. The sensor now report openend and closed. I will be getting a lot more of these now that I know how to make them work. Can't beat the price.
