I added the Aeotec water sensor to my environment and noticed two things.
1) I don't get battery status.
2) If I change the device type from binarysensor to alarm you can't see it in the mobile app.

- You might have to do a poll several times to get the battery information. Seems like that is what I have to do to get battery levels for my devices that use batteries.
2. Believe that it is a binary device, on or off (or water or no water) - where alarm is like alarm systems.
