When I double click any device the popup window shows a "short id" which is always different than the number shown under the word "properties" at the very bottom of the right side of the devices pane. I believe the node number is the one on the bottom of the devices pane. This is confusing can anyone explain please?

The number under the word properties is the actual node id.
