All,

I've added an Aeotec Range Extender to my devices and set device type to Controller. However, no range extension seems to happen ... Any idea on how to properly define/configure the device? Thanks!

Cheers

Alfons

The type of device InControl knows it as doesn't matter in this case since this range extension is a feature of z-wave itself -- InControl doesn't tell the devices to use it, they are supposed to do it themselves. In order for the device to know about the device however, it needs to be made aware of it by doing a network heal. Note that if you've got any sleeping devices you should wake them up so they can figure out the new device exists.

... just to add: even non-battery operated devices (e.g. plugs) don't benefit from the extender :-(
