My system has two Z-Sticks one is primary the other is secondary. My primary Z-Stick has become unreliable, it loses it's ability to communicate with any devices. When this occurs the blue LED goes dark and never comes back on. I have tested it with InControl as well as with Zen tools, it appears that the Z-Stick is the problem. The only solution is to unplug the Z-stick from the PC for a few seconds, plug it back in and restart the PC. This problem occurs once every week or two. I have a secondary Z-stick on another PC which continues to function.
I have purchased a replacement Z-Stick and would like either to make my secondary controller the primary, or transfer the current primary's configuration to the new Z-Stick.
I see an option in Zen Tools to "Make New Primary" but it is grayed out.
I would like to avoid having to recreate the entire network, I have about 40 physical devices and 72 rules. It would probably take me two days to reconfigure everything.
If anyone has some insight on this subject please share, it will save me a lot of work.
Thanks,
