I am getting frequent messages from my iPhone (10.3.2) that the InControl app will not be compatible with future versions of iOS. Are there plans to update the app so it won't stop working after one of the many iOS upgrades?

Same message and same question.

I have seen this message as well when I had to re-install the app.

I have the same question I'm considering buying the license but two things are holding me up. 1. iPhone app hasn't been updated since 2014. 2. it doesn't seem to work outside my network.

I'll fire up my iPhone and see what I can do to reproduce the message and get a fix out (assuming Apple will provide the details of what they are worried about).

jigzat,

I have been using the Iphone app for 5 years and it works great, in and out of my home network.

Hey Joey, which version (paid/free) are you using?

I am using the paid version, but I just read the other thread about this topic and noticed jigzat is talking about the direct connection. I am using the cloud connection.

Go grab the "paid" version of the app from iTunes. It's on sale (free) for another few days. Let me know if that helps with the messages you have been seeing.

I removed the existing version and installed the "paid" version of the app. My phone did not complain.

I looks like this solved the problem. I will know for sure the next time Apple releases an iOS update.

Thanks!
