I recently set up a Z-Stick and two Aeotec Smart Strips to control lighting for several aquariums.
There are 8 scenes, each set to turn on one of the outlets at a specific time of day, like scene A at 8:00 AM, scene B at 8:10 AM, etc.
Today, only one of the 8 scenes activated properly and turned on its light.
When using the InControl 4.0.5680 and looking at the device page, each device indicated it had last changed at the time the scene was supposed to activate, even though the light was still off.
The Z-Stick and the Smart Strips are within 10'-15' of each other.
I paid for the pro edition of InControl. All outlets turn on and off properly from the device page.

I believe you are probably running into a bug related to scene control with the individual outlets. If you haven't already, go snag the latest version of InControl at www.incontrolha.com.
