OK - been using Incontrol for quite a while now and everything works fine - but never got the weather plugin to work...

What is the expected format for the long/lat in the configuration? Maybe that's what I do wrong?

Regards /Mans

It should use decimal numbers. There's a link in the options page that'll give you your location in the correct format.

Here's a sample location:
Lat: 43.82
Longitude: -111.7

Well - if i try to enter my correct coordinates for Lund in Sweden from the page that is linked under "I'm lost" these are the values:

Lat: 55.708495
Long: 13.194237

If I enter them into the textboxes under options some format mask removes the decimals so they become:

Lat: 55708495
Long: 13194237

And that does not work...

If I enter them with , (the swedish locale version of comma) it remains - but no luck.

So - is this a locale problem maybe?

I believe locale was a problem in an early version of the Weather plugin, but I believe it was fixed. Can you confirm with the most recent beta version at www.incontrolha.com (login then click downloads). You'd still want to keep the "," in there.

OK - keeping it at lat: 55,75 (with , instead of .) and long: 13,19 then. Unfortunaltely the readings seem stuck at some reading that actually worked when I entered 55.75 (that became 5570) and 13.19 (that became 1319). It gives me a temp of 26 degrees Celsius and it's 7 degrees here in Sweden. When I previosly had entered the values from iThouchMap lat: 55.707075 and long: 13.189516 (that naturally lost the .) - I did not get any readings at all...

And I am running the latest beta - version 4.0.5770.30433. Found another "glitch" as I'm lazy and went to the log file to copy-paste as I was guessing the version was there from the last restart where it said this:

2015-11-12 01:04:27: Starting version 4.0.5770.30429

But the text in the window name says: "InControl HA 4.0.5770.30433 - Pro Edition"

Have you by chance restarted InControl (go offline/online) since making the change?

Also, the difference in version is a matter of the build time between the GUI and the server itself. The final number represents the "milliseconds" when the build happened. You can safely ignore it

In your logfile, does it happen to mention anything about the lat/long being used in the weather control?

OK - restarted the Service to get fresh readings and now it says 10 degress Celsius which seems OK (checked the reading and it's actually 9.4C outside - had 7C in the car on my way home).

So - there is a locale "problem". It could naturally be remedied by users knowing that the should NOT use . if they live in a country that uses , for decimal separator. But it would be better if that was fixed "behind the scenes" as many users would not understand that the should NOT use the value from the page linked in the "I'm lost" link?
