I'm using trying to use the Intermatic HA07 as my primary control box, this is the only control box I have. The documentation for Linear WD500Z-1 say it is a Z-wave radio frequency (RF) controlled, 500W 120VAC wall mounted Dimmer Series 300. I am trying to dim the lights using the HA07 to control the WD500Z-1, but I can't get them to communicate with each other. There is something about them having to become part of a network. I try to initiate the connection from the HA07, by pressing the include Key once, then you tap the top or bottom of the WD500Z-1 once, and you should see an indication on the controller that the device was included in the network, this is not happening????
I have a Intermatic HA07 controller and I'm trying to connect it to a Linear WD500Z-1 dimmer switch. When I try to get the WD500Z to connect to the HA07 network, nothing happens. The controller does it's search and I press the on/off switch on the WD500Z but no network connection is established.
Mine works. You using the HA07 as the secondary controller to Incontrol HA server?

To test the controller to ensure it is configured correctly, the light should come on with the all on button. If that works, then hold the up/down buttons on the channel you want to assign the dimmer to for 5 seconds until is says learn. Then press the include button and hold it while you press the learn button on the dimmer and release the include button. Then test and repeat if needed. That is how I got mine to work.

Thanks for the response, but I'm still a little confused:

In the HA07 documentation it talks about "Include Modules to Network". You press and release the include botton on the HA07 and you see on the controller screen "the INCL icon and transmitting" then you are suppose to press and release the program botton on the module WD500Z-1, when I do this I get a "not successful" from the screen on the HA07. I can't get pass this point. The WD500Z-1 instructions talk about Installation which I understand, but it also talks about association, with something to do with groups, which I don't understand. The instructions for the WD500Z-1 also talk about "including WD500Z-1 to the Network", the steps are pretty straight forward, but I still keep getting Not successful when trying to connect to the network.

This should not be this difficult, are these units suppose too work together???

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Are you using IncontrolHA as your primary and the HA07 as a secondary controller or is the HA07 your primary controller and you don't have any secondary controllers?
