i mostly just want to check temp, humidity, etc. from my phone. and yes i do have an iphone so i guess i should wait till the beta comes out for that and see if things work themselves out.

as far as parameters, if i don't need to change any to get that info visible on my iphone i wont. looking through the list of parameters for the sensor has me scratching my head cause i don't understand what most of them do.
thanks

i have the Aeotec motion/temp/humidity... sensor. ive had some issues getting it to work as a motion sensor but i am still trying to sort that out on my own.
now i am just curious as to whether the temp/humidity.... can be seen via the app? on the app i just see a "binary sensor" with a off/on slide switch which is not operable. is there a way to get the sensor to display temp/humidity .... on the app?
thanks

To get it working, you need to follow this little guide. To answer your questions though, yes, you can see all other sensor values including temp, humidity & luminance.

ok. ive been messing with this for a bit now and not having good luck. feeling pretty dumb.
i have associated the sensor to the USB stick. i have tried to set parameters but IC says it cannot find parameter 1. some of the other parameters it can access but i have no idea what those parameters do.
i have created "devices" for temp, battery, humidity on IC so i can track these values on my phone(i assume that is the best way to track these values on the phone), but they come up looking like light switches and the values are hard to decipher. temp is somewhere between the 60 and 99 markings on the dimmer slide bar. not very precise.
can someone help explain how the parameters work and how i can set them to see actual; temp, humidity, battery life numbers on my phone?
thanks

In most cases you shouldn't need to do anything with the parameters. Is there a specific value you are trying to change?

Which phone app are you using? If Android, you should join our G+ community and get access to the beta version as it handles those special device values a little better.

If you have iPhone, we'll be releasing a beta for that soon that'll take care of the display for you.
