Hey...thought I'd throw this out before I make a mess. I am moving, but want to transfer the InControl setup to another PC to leave behind for house mates and setup a new account for myself. I also use the Android app. What's the cleanest way of transferring the old setup and setting up for myself new? I have one lifetime InControl license. I have purchased a new USB controller. Should I purchase a new license for myself and edit my current InControl server/login information to one of the house mates?

Thank you for the reply, Ryan.  Simply copy/pasting the zwave folder onto the new server and inserting the existing USB zwave stick did the trick.  I was retiring an older server as it was W2003 server based and the Nest plug-in no longer worked (due to change on Nest's side).  I moved the install to a new W10 based Intel Compute Stick.  The new setup, including the Nest plug-in,  works great.

Here is a set of steps to move the data to a new server: https://incontrolha.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/280758-backup-data

If you are in the same scenario as sgmathews, then you have a few options. You can either have the new home owners purchase their own copy and then change the user/pwd to that new username, or you can purchase yourself a new copy and leave the old username as it is.

Hope this helps -

Ryan

I also want to move my setup from an old server (W2003 server based) to a new one (W10 based).  I have installed InControl on the new server.  What are the next steps?  What files do I need to transfer to the new server?    I have a zwave usb stick.  Can I just move it to the new server?

If there are already detailed instructions on this site, could someone point me to them?

Thanks.
