I don't have anything that resembles a USB stick, so maybe that is it. I would really like to hide it at least, but even hiding it causes it to come back.

It is node 4.

Is the usb stick your primary controller or do you have it setup as a secondary? Can you identity a device in your list with a node id of 1?

Ok, the other dimmer switch that I hid has a node id of 1. I guess that is the usb stick and the other dimmer switch is my other controller. Kind of weird that they show up that way, but as long as they remain hidden I don't mind.

I have a dimmer switch that will not disappear from the inControl GUI. I've tried hiding it and deleting it, but it always comes back. Even when I tried a different z-wave controller. Renaming it also does not work. How can I get rid of it?

A device that is deleted from InControl will always come back if it's still included into the Z-Wave network. That said, it's odd that you aren't able to rename it and/or hide it. It almost makes me wonder if it's a new device that keeps showing up -- to that end, please make a note of the node id, then delete the device and see if the node id of the device that comes back matches.

The node id can be found by looking at the number in the bottom part of the detail info that comes up when you click on it.

One other note... Sometimes the USB stick/controller is detected as a DimmerSwitch. Could you verify that the device you are seeing isn't that? Have you got a USB stick already in your list?

It is a secondary controller.

I was able to finally hide the dimmer switch, and is looking like it isn't coming back this time. Possibly the problem is fixed. I will check when I get home to see if I have a Node 1 device. I think I have another "DimmerSwitch" that is hidden so maybe that is it. Strange that it would be labeling my controllers as dimmer switches. When I had the software installed on another computer it showed up as a controller.
