I've been messing around with this and can't get it working. Can anyone provide a little walkthrough on how to get the new HTTP Command feature to work with AutoRemote for Tasker? I can take care of the interaction with tasker after the message is received, but can't get IC to send a message.

Thanks

Tom

Direct Messaging directions for Autoremote

Incase anyone is interested I plan on using this so triggered scenes have tasker make verbal announcements. IE:"Welcome Home" when a door opens, "Your Child is attempting to exit their room(and scare the crap out of you by standing next to your bed in the dark)" when my child leaves their room in the middle of the night. Things of nature.

I haven't used Autoremote, but it appears to use a GET request. It sounds like you'd first go find your autoremote URL and plug that into the server box - it should be something like 'http://autoremotejoaomgcd.appspot.com/sendmessage?key=YOURKEY&message=hi'

Then for the verb, type in GET. I think that's it - from here, you can hit test and it should do its thing.

What Ryan said is correct; you would add your URL plus whatever you want to pass to Tasker in the message field. Just go to your URL that you were given in autoremote and then create the URL that you want to send and then copy and paste it into the GET request option in IC.

I receive an error "The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the ssl/tls secure channel" Any ideas?

Thanks for the help.

Ok, here's a fix for that message. Version 3.130

That fixed it. Thanks a lot! This really helps with the one feature I've been looking for. Now I'll have talking displays all over the house.

Well the Test worked but the HTTP command can't be added to the scene. I hit OK and the Command entry screen goes away, but nothing shows up in the scene.

Thanks

Is it back if you switch to another scene and go back? Can you email your logfile.txt to us?

Did you get the message about the update to version 3.131? It fixes the problem.
