Hi
I have a Horstmann thermostat and Fibaro relay switch. Running in Control Std off a Aeon Labs v2 stick.

I have setup the relay switch but cant seem to get the thermostat to add as a device. Funnily I got it to add when I was sill running the free version of incontrol. But cant seem to replicate that now.

Do the software support the HRT4-ZW?
Can I use the relay, thermo stat and an electric panel heater to maintain the temp in a room?

Sorry I'm very new to Z-wave and automation.

Thanks
Alan

Generally when you upgrade, you shouldn't have to do anything new -- the USB stick should have still known about the t-stat after you upgraded to Standard.

When you try to add it now, what exact happens (messages, errors, etc.)?

Just in case though -- you might try to first exclude or remove the thermostat. Generally that'll "reset" the z-wave stuff on the device back to default so that it can then be re-added again.

You should be able to using version 3.0 (find the link in the announcment forum)... the relay is used to turn the heater on? You'd setup a scene for "heat" that turns the relay on. Make a trigger on it that runs every few minutes. Set a condition that monitors the thermostat's current temp and when it's below a certain number, you could set the scene to turn on. There are probably other ways to do this, so if you can explain exactly what you need, I can suggest how to accomplish it.

Unfortunately I removed the thermostat before the upgrade :(

I'm not sure at all how to add it again. I completely did it by chance when I first got it to show up.

I have however got it to say "sucessfully added device" but then nothing shows up.

How did you remove it? Could it be in your hidden device list (from the view menu)?

I deleted it. Checked now in hidden and its not there.

It quit confusing in the manual and I'm not sure what I should do on the device to add it.

Is your t-stat battery powered or do you have it plugged into main power? Also, be sure to associate it with the USB stick:

1- Click Tools/options
2- Check the z-wave beta controller
3- close options
4- click t-stat
5- Click "Associations"
6- Wake device (if needed)
7- Click USB stick

Its batt powered. How do you wake the device?

Looks like this section in your manual: 2.7 Receive Period Enabled

This section is also interesting. It sounds like your t-stat will send commands to devices that are associated with it to be able to control the heat. If you relay is just an on/off, you might try adding it to group 1 or group 2 to test its functionality out. It might be that the t-stat can directly tell another z-wave device to turn on or off. You'd do this by using the "Associations" button and loading the appropriate group, then selecting the appropriate device to associate to that group.

Association Command Class (V1)
The following association groups are supported in the grouping identifier range 1 – 5 respectively:
Group 1 - Nodes controlled by Thermostat Mode SET command.
Group 2 - Nodes controlled by Binary Switch SET command.
Group 3 - Nodes to receive unsolicited Battery Level Reports or Low Battery Warnings.
Group 4 - Nodes to receive Thermostat Set Point Reports.
Group 5 - Nodes to receive unsolicited Multilevel Sensor Reports.
