Ok tried adding using method as you suggested. No change.

What gives here? Bought products off the shelf yet getting grief.

Is whs 2011 an issue. Would win 8 help?

Have you seen this device working before? If not I’m happy to work with you in any attempt to resolve this.

We can safely say that WHS 2011 is not a problem in this case.

This is the first time I've seen (or even heard of) this particular device. I'd guess it's simply a configuration issue - the suggestions I'm giving you are only based on how most z-wave devices work, but that doesn't mean this particular one has followed the crowd with how their device functions.

Is it mostly just to measure how many watts are being used?

Hello,
I am trying to get readings from a electrical power meter (pulse). All I get back are battery levels. I have defined it as a Energy Monitor. It pulses ok when the LED turns on. Everything seems ok except there are no energy readings being returned.

Anyone any ideas?

Were you able to associate the device to the USB stick properly?

If so, could you check your logfile.txt and search for the text "Sent unprocessed command" and let me know what you see? Second, try to auto-configure the device (be sure to wake it up) and then send me the output from that as well.

i'm not having much joy. Associations with this device dont seem to work at all. I deleted the device and re-added it. 2 devices appeared (dimmer switches).

I tried auto configure. This never seems to work for any of my z wave devices.

i'm running whs 2011. Auto complete always fails for all devices. This time it reported

Manufacturer ID 150. Product cid 1. Assiciating device with main controller... Fail.

I'm still getting the battery level and thats all.

Log file doesn't have anything very much.

The 2 devices are 7,8

I have a switch thats works just fine.

Not sure what else I can do.

When you delete/add, are you using InControl's add? So Tools/Zwave Commands/Add? If no, try to remove then use that add -that will also attempt to associate it.

Yes it should report on the number of watts used over a time period.I have a particular need for this which is outside the scope of our discussion. I have it on the PV (generated power by solar PV pulse meter). Is there some tracing I can turn on that might be of help to you in resolving this?
