Would there be a way to see the battery status from within InControl?

If the device sends battery reports, InControl will display it. To work:

1- It must be associated with your USB stick
2- The device must send out the battery reports unsolicited (meaning InControl doesn't need to ask for it) - OR -
3- The device must send a "wake up" command to InControl at which point InControl will respond by asking it for the battery level

I am new to this, so bear with me as I learn. I have it associated with a Aeon Z-Stick Series 2. The device is this one:

http://www.pepper1.net/zwavedb/device/142

I have not yet dived deep into understanding how to read that specifications page to match up the right answers for questions 2 and 3 above. Any thoughts based on that device info if it meets 2 or 3 above?

As a follow-up, I figured it out. I was not following the directions listed above. I thought the association was related to the very first step of pairing the device with the USB stick. Instead, you were referring to the instructions here:

http://www.incontrolzwave.com/page/Device-Associations.aspx

I followed those steps and now can see the battery status listed.

For this motion detector, you wake up the device by taking the back off (like you would to replace the battery). The front LED light then stays on solid with enough time to complete the steps needed.
