Still having trouble with Schladge Door Sensor

I can get it to associate to my Aeon S2 either by pushing the button or by following your instructions for Schladge door locks by using the controller "beta mode" and activating from the software, however, the sensor is mostly unresponsive (it has brief moments of clarity). Where can I find instructions for configuring this sensor? All other sensors and controllers in the network communicate fine.

Also, where can I find software updates, when they become available?
Thanks.

I assume you've clicked the sensor, clicked associations, loaded group 1 and then set the usb stick as an association to your sensor?

As far as updates, I'll generally post them in the forums. I do have one that I haven't yet put into the forums, but just because I'm not sure I am ready for it to be generally available yet -- it's got new Foscam IP Camera support that I'm still testing out to make sure it's ready.

I also have the same controller and one of these Schlage door sensors.
I had no problem adding the device and it worked for a few minutes before it stopped. I was unable to get it to associate with the controller successfully, however eventually I managed to get it working perfectly by using the auto configure feature in InControl.
First wake up the device and then use auto configure. This also pulled in the battery life of the device too.
Hope that helps.

Ryan, that was the problem. I didn't how or why I needed to use the associations menu in the software. Where are there instructions posted on this?

Before, I only paired the controller with the device but did not go through the process of waking the device up and going through the association process in the software. It works perfectly now that I got the software association to stick.

Should the battery percentage indicator feature work with this device?

Every device is different, but for the most part, any device that reports information back needs to be associated with a device to whom it will report. If you use InControl to add the device, this will generally be taken care of for you... likewise, the auto-configure feature will attempt to do it as well.

Sometimes the device's user manual may suggest this, though I've found that most manufactures just assume it's common knowledge and don't include it.

In any case, I'm glad you got things working.

Ryan
