I have a trane currently using a non zwave honeywell thermostat that's using 3 wires. Which model do I need to make this an easy enough switch?
I seem to recall that it won't be easy, I need some module added in the furnace itself, wire replaced or rerun and thermostat replaced.
with that, what are the chances of a 2nd upstairs thermostat being added to pretty much help make sure zone is stabilized. Now that's not critical as I don't have any baffles to separate the zones, I was thinking run the thermostats together would be smart enough to rule one over the other to run longer (or whatever).
anyhow my point is to find out which models I would need .

Are you asking about which thermostat you should buy instead of the non-zwave trane? I've heard the 2-Gig CT100 is a pretty easy-going thermostat when it comes to systems with few wires, though I haven't had any personal experience with it in that regards.
