I'm probably missing something, but I can't figure out how to use the various variables that each of my devices have. For example, my motion sensor doesn't just detect motion, it displays the temperature. How do I use this as a trigger? Another way I want to use a variable is for low battery notifications.
I read through all Screen Reference pages but I didn't see any mention of it.

The documentation is a bit all over the place - I think what you're asking about is this: https://www.incontrolha.com/recipes/recipe/23
Clicking the gear icon breaks that particular variable out as its own device which you can then use in scenes, etc.
