Z-Wave enabled Rain Sensor

All,

would anybody happen to know about a z-wave enabled rain sensor device? I've been googling for the last couple of days to no avail. Sensors seem only to be availabe for other protocols. The closest would be the flood sensors by Fiabro or Everspring, but I'm not sure they would fit my purpose (auto retracting an outdoor marquee in case of rainfall).

Thanks!

Cheers

Alfons

I'm not aware of anything... could you use the weather device's precipitation value? It's not the most precise solution, but it may serve your needs.

Hi Ryan,

that's what I'm currently using, but I get too many false negatives, i.e. it is raining, but the precipitation value still is at zero. Maybe one could retrofit one of the run-of-the-mill rain sensors with the Fibaro Binary Sensor to get it z-wave enabled - but I'm not an electrician and not familiar with soldering works ... :-(

Cheers
