New user - question about Sunset & Sunrise Triggers

I'm a new user still getting my feet wet. I have a very basic starter system at the moment consisting of a Z-Stick, a plug-in switching module, and a switching duplex receptacle.

I have added both Devices to two Scenes, "Overnight Lights - On" and "Overnight Lights - Off". I am using the Sunset trigger for "On" and the Sunrise Trigger for "Off".

The receptacle goes on and off perfectly according to the time of Sunset and Sunrise. The plug-in module goes on at Sunset but it turns off at random times during the night. One night it turned off about an hour before sunrise. Last night it turned off around 10:00 pm. I don't know exactly when it turns off, because under the Device Log inside InControl HA I don't see anything. But the Android app says that the receptacle turned off 3 hours ago and the plug-in module turned off 11 hours ago. The time as I write this is a little after 11:00 am and sunrise is a little before 8:00 am at my location today.

I tried adding Conditions but it does not seem to change the behavior. For the "On" Scene I set the Condition to Before Sunset and for the "Off" Scene I set the condition to After Sunrise.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

So if I understand you correctly, you've got both the plugin-in module and the outlet added to the same two scenes. You know the scene is being triggered because the outlet is turning on and off at the expected times.

You can remove the conditions, they aren't needed for what you want to accomplish. For your plugin module, it feels like you've got something external to the InControl scene that's turning it off. Could you perhaps have the "auto toggle off" feature set? Or maybe a different scene that's interacting with it? Also, I assume you've set your lat/long in the tools/options menu so that the correct sunset/sunrise times can be calculated?

That's an interesting possibility, Ryan. I didn't know that a module might have its own auto-off toggle. When I get home tonight I will definitely check that out. Thank you.

Forgot to mention, I don't have any other Scenes and yes, I did set the correct lat/lon in the Options. Thanks again!

The plugin module is a GE 45603 Fluorescent Lighting & Appliance Module. I looked through the manual and it doesn't mention any auto-off functionality. I may try removing and re-adding it to the network.

The "auto-toggle off" is a setting for the device on the "devices" tab in InControl. Select the device and look on the right hand side, just above the "Associations" button.

Thank you. The auto-off toggle is not checked.

Under Device Properties, if I check Enable Level Logging will that start recording operational log data? Right now it's hard to troubleshoot b/c I have no time stamped log.

Another question: why does InControl HA require an Admin account password when running under a User account? Win 7 Home Prem 64-bit.

I resorted to removing and re-adding the plugin module to the network. Bingo! Now it's working as expected. Thanks to all who helped.
