Activate Scene with multiple triggers?

I have a lamp I want to turn on and off every day in the morning and at night.

Previously in HomeSeer with my old X10 setup, I used four independent events:
- "On" in AM at a fixed time
- "Off" in AM 30 minutes after sunrise
- "On" in PM 10 minutes before sunset
- "Off" in PM at a fixed time.

To get the same functionality, I know I can set up four scenes and I know how to do that. My question is should I do it a different or "better" way?

Thanks!

Actually, I just completed setting up two scenes:
- "On" for both the AM/PM triggers
- "Off" for both the AM/PM triggers

Let me know if there's a different or better way!

I think what you want are the Trigger Groups. When you setup a trigger for the scene you can set what group that trigger is a part of. All triggers in group 1 have to be true for the scene to activate or all triggers in group 2 have to be true to active.

I think that's what you are looking for.

Is it possible to associate triggers with conditions? I want a light to turn on Fridays at 6pm and Saturdays at 4pm. Is it possible to do that with one scene?

I thought I could do a time trigger in group 1 at 6pm and a condition of Friday in group 1. Then I added another trigger in group 2 at 4pm and a condition of Saturday in group 2. The lights never turned on. Should this work? If so how? Using 3.43.5050.17923.

Yup, I have something set up very similar to that.

- At the risk of sounding obvious, make sure you have the device set up and have it's status set to "on".
- I used two scenes for mine. Set up the time trigger for the desired time, set to repeat daily.
- Use conditions and set up a day of week condition (drop down arrow), then pick the days.

There might be a way to do it in one scene, but it's just as easy with two scenes in my case.

Hope this helps!
